Based in Newark, Ivy Construction Ltd is a trusted local construction company serving Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. We specialise in home extensions, conversions, new builds and landscaping, transforming our clients’ properties with care and attention to detail.
How it began
Ivy Construction was founded by Nicky Parker in 2020, initially operating as a sole trader business specialising in quality brickwork. When an opportunity arose to collaborate with skilled joiner Jonathan Bailey on a large residential project, their combined expertise proved exceptional. Recognising that their complementary skills – Nicky’s brickwork and Jono’s joinery – created results far superior to working independently, they decided to form a partnership. The name Ivy Construction was retained, not least because of the special personal connection for Nicky (read more on this below), but also, the brand had already begun establishing its reputation for quality workmanship, and strong customer relations.

The story
When it came to naming the business, Nicky Parker chose something personal rather than traditional. The answer came naturally – his daughter Ivy. Nicky realised that just as his work was driven by providing for his own family, his clients were investing in their homes to create better spaces for their families too. The name Ivy Construction felt right: it was personal yet professional, memorable yet meaningful. It reflects the family values at the heart of every project – understanding that we’re not just building extensions or conversions, but helping families create the homes they need for their lives together.
